Trek to Zion

Come my darlin’
Let’s go walkin
Miles of snow packed
Plains to tread

Come my child
Don’t stray afar
Home is forward
Ever far

Westward homebound
Riding on down
Through the creek
And forest there

Moving forward
Ever onward
Through the vast plains
Of Midwest

We will make it
To the end where
We will gather
In Zion’s land

Come young families
Keep on pushing
Carts and wagons
Must go on

To the place where
Saints will gather
In such peace
And harmony

Come my family
Keep on walkin
Snow capped mountains
Are ahead

Keep on trekking
Ever walking
Blessed are the
Faithful ones

Here we are now
Loose your wagons
See the great Salt Lake
Is there

Shout for joy
And find some land
Hitch the plow
And start again
